Silver Tongue, White Devil

Text

Sleep it off

A Gaffe.
Painful, air depleting
Gaffe. A sharp hook through the side of a blue.
Catastrophic Gaffe. A finish-your-drink-in-a-single-gulp-settle-up-your-tab-and-run Gaffe.
A hide-your-phone-on-silent-and-get-under-covers-with-a-brown-alcohol gaffe.
Slumber
Sleep it off
Wake up a month from then, two months
By then it’s either forgotten or it’s not

When you come to the bridge
Cross it
Even if it’s ablaze
